I have a question -
If i were to explain to you what it's like to have a vintage shop in Buckinghamshire you would run a mile.
I won't go into too much detail but imagine rising energy costs, increasing business taxes, scarcity of stock, the constant necessity to post on social media, the decrease in footfall and organic income of the business.
Not to mention the storage needed just to store all the hats you have to wear in order to get your business through the day.

This probably isn't the entire list of things needed to even help the business run.
The thing is burn out is real.
Your passions turning into chores is real.
People not understanding your business is real.
Customers leaving regardless is real.
Not being motivated by what you used to love is real.
Loosing your creative spark is real.
My business has suffered for a few reasons but the main reason is burn out.
Not having a supportive network around me, not having other shops to inspire or create a sense of community.
I've honestly felt like I did everything i could and it worked for a while but me running on fumes and surviving from a few hours of rest, no holidays and barely any recognition.
The business works but in reality doing everything by myself doesn't..
I'm tired and i honestly don't know the next steps forward.
As always i have a million ideas running around in my head, but no action.
Do i close the physical store and work fully online?
Do i relocate to somewhere more rich in creative businesses and footfall but pay way more rent?
Do i change the concept of the store and make it more for bringing in community?
Do i move into a completely different career that fulfills more of my potential and is a place where i could excel and be rewarded financially for doing so?
What would you do?
